George Frideric Handel (1685-1759) was a German-British Baroque composer, famous for his operas, oratorios, anthems and organ concertos.
Handel was born in 1685, in Halle (Germany). He received musical training in Halle, Hamburg and Italy before settling in London in 1712.

Sir Charles Hubert Hastings Parry, 1st Baronet (1848-1918) was an English composer, teacher and historian of music.
As a composer he is best known for the choral song "Jerusalem", the coronation anthem "I was glad" and the hymn tune "Repton" ("Dear Lord and Father of Mankind").

Edward Benjamin Britten, Baron Britten, OM CH (1913-1976) was an English composer, conductor, and pianist; and one of the central figures of 20th century British classical music.
With the premiere of his opera "Peter Grimes" in 1945 he leapt to international fame.

Sir George Shearing, OBE (1919-2011) was an Anglo-American jazz pianist who for many years led a popular jazz group that recorded for major record labels.
The composer of over 300 titles, he had multiple albums on the Billboard charts.

John Rutter, CBE (born 1945) is an English composer, choral conductor, editor, arranger and record producer.
Born in London, he studied music at Clare College, Cambridge, where he was organ scholar and later director of music.
